About the Mrs. America Organization
Celebrating its 43th Anniversary in 2020, the “Mrs. America Organization” has evolved to become a year-round lifestyle brand – a celebration of Americana, and indeed, a microcosm of the 65-million married women of America. These “real women” – “America’s greatest natural resource” – accomplished, attractive, youthful, contemporary leaders from all 50 states plus District of Columbia -- are attorneys, business executives, educators and much more. And many are Moms!
State competitions, under the direction of independent directors, a special network of respected community and business leaders, are conducted to determine the “Mrs. America” State Titleholders who’ll compete at the national level. The original “Mrs. America” event (which began in 1938) was reorganized in 1977 by David Marmel to feature a more contemporary format designed to attract married women.
